The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.
SASSA might be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it is alarmed with regard to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office focused on service the area daily. The service level made for intervention experiences a large sassa status check inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it tough to the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to permit the servicing of all prospects and increase access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
